Notes for Rev William Gibbons Steuart (Stuart)
plaque on the wall inside St. Paul's Church, King George, says he was the son of David Stuart, who was the minister of St. Paul's Parish from 1722 until his death in 1749. That plaque also says William Stuart took over as minister when his father died and continued as such until 1790 when he resigned in ill health, dying in 1796.11
