Miss Sarah Thornberry Grover was born in Baltimore, Maryland, March 10, 1775 and during early womanhood removed with her father and his family to Kentucky. Some say she went there as a child, which is more likely.
Her father's name was Josiah Grover; her mother's name, Mary Anderson.
Sarah Grover was married to John Paul in Danville, Ky. 1790. She died at Madison, Indiana, May 9th, 1866, aged 91 years. Her mother, Mary Anderson Grover, was 89 years old; her grandmother, Sarah Thornberry, age 96 years old; and her great grandmother, Elizabeth Anderson, was 115 years old at the time of her death.
