Notes for Hannah Chandler
Hannah CHANDLER born England in 1623. Christened May 23rd, 1629, daughter of WILLIAM CHANDLER and AGNES BAYFORD.. Hannah immigrated with her family in 1630 when she was only seven.
Hannah was the fourth child born to William and Annis Agnes Bayford Chandler.
Hannah Chandler first married George Abbott in 1646. Both George and Hannah were Puritans. George died in 1681, and at age 61 Hannah married her stepbrother, Rev. Francis Dane in 1690. Hannah was his third wife. Rev. Dane had several members of his family accused in the Andover witch trials, and played a big part in stopping them there in 1692.
Hannah survived her second husband by 15 years, dying at age 82.
