Nathaniel Christian Boydston

Nathaniel C Boydston was the son of Thomas Boydston born 16 Feb 1782 Cocke, TN d. 31 Aug 1862 Buchanan Co MO, and his wife Elizabeth Gregg who migrated to MO and lived in Edgerton, Platte Co. MO. 'Nat' was married twice: first on 22 July 1836 in Clay Co MO to Dianah Rector Faubion b. 19 Apr 1819 TN. She died 16 Jan 1861 in Kansas, but the couple had six children together: Jacob, Thomas, James, Mary A., Margaret, and Nancy Dinah Boydston. He married 2nd on 14 Apr 1862 in Clay Co MO Margaret Ann Faubion b. 11 Aug 1823 TN. Both wives were daughters of Jacob Cummin Faubion and Priscilla Boydston and the parents are buried in Faubion Cemetery, Gladstone, Clay Co. MO. Nathaniel Boydston joined his sister Nancy C. (Boydston) (McPike) McComas for a while in early Holton, Jackson Co. KS. His brother in law Sanders W McComas selected the land for the large Circleville Cemetery there, but Nathaniel Boydston donated the land for the cemetery. With 2nd wife Margaret, there were additional children: Samuel W. Boydston, Roberta A. Boydston, William Lee Boydston, all born in Platte Co. MO. His sister Nancy C. Boydston was buried as Nancy McComas in the Circleville Cemetery, Jackson Co. KS.1177
