NOTE:
The town of Sonora was started on the banks of the Missouri River in 1857. Burials were started in the cemetery in 1858. In 1881 a flood washed out most of the cemetery. The remains were moved to a cemetery located in the center of a field which is now overgrown. Stones are tipped and unreadable in most cases. The Town of Watson erected this monument to all those who were buried in the cemetery. Info by: DonZas
