Notes for John Thompson Sr
Several sources say that three brothers, Anthony (memorial #27814730), William (memorial #64544530), and John came over from England on the "Hector" in 1637, settling in Quinnipiack (New Haven) in 1638. Their parents never immigrated to America and are unknown.

Brother John was called John "Senior," to distinguish him from his nephew John "Mariner" Thompson (memorial #33970266) and John "Farmer" Thompson (memorial #64404398) of East Haven.

He married
ELLEN HARRISON on February 25, 1650 in New Haven, CT. She was probably a sister of the Thomas Harrison who married the widow of Farmer John Thompson of East Haven.

He died 14 Dec 1674, & on 9 Jun 1675 "Ellin ye relict" presented the inventory of his estate, which was distributed to herself, to Sarah Lines in right of Mary his wife, to Abraham Bradlye in right of Hanna his wife, to Elizabeth, and to "the youngest daughter."
