Based on their children's births, it appears they moved from Westmoreland County, PA to Holmes County, OH between 1818 and 1819.

Some time between 1842 and 1846 James moved his family to Gentry County, MO. He did not sell his land in Holmes County, which was disposed of by his heirs in 1852. 1
