A few years after Christian's death in 1879, Gertrude and her three youngest boys, Aloys, Johann and Emil emigrated to America to join the older children.

I found that Engelbert arrived in New York 23 Aug 1878 via the ship Baltic. I found where Aloys, Emil, John and their mother Gertrud arrived in New York 14 Dec 1881 via the ship Pieter de Coninck. John L Gier says that Lambert his wife and infant daughter and Henry arrived in the USA May 1879.
